TRAVEL GUIDE
BIENVENIDO
South America was the start of my backpacking career and sparked the wanderlust for me. Rich in natural beauty as well as cosmopolitan cites and culture, South America has something for everyone. The iconic Machu PIcchu, Iguazu Falls and Christ the Redeemer are must-see's but there's so much more to see and do if you have the time to really see South America. The diversity of the people as you move from the cities to the country and across borders will amaze you. From Rio where the women strut the beaches in thong bikinis, the traditional farming people of Peru in their al Paca through to the native Uros people living on floating islands of Lake Titicaca. You'll leave South America with a taste for it, from the colourful, electric atmosphere of Carnaval, clubs and football games to the feel of the soft Iguazu spray on your face, and if you hadn't already you'll feel the bite of the travel bug.

The largest and highest lake in South America, Lake Titicaca, is home to the Uru people. The floating islands and incredible boats are well worth a visit

Iguazu is a UNESCO world Heritage site and rightly so. View the Falls from both the Brazilian and Argentinian site and if you have some cash to splash do a boat ride below or helicopter ride abover the falls for a different perspective

Visit the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue, take a cable car up Sugarloaf mountain and sip Caipirinhas on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro

Trek the 4 day Inca trail hike and be rewarded with stunning views and the magnificent finale which is Machu Picchu

Take a trip across the glistening salt flats of Bolivia, Salar de Uyuni, for incredible mirror like views, volcanoes and flamingo filled red lakes

Check out the quirky port city of Valparaiso in Chile for colourful homes, street art and steep funiculars

Take a bike ride through the dunes of the Atacama desert before enjoying sunset at the moonlike Valle de la Luna

Enjoy a glass of Argentinian wine while watching the traditional dance, the tango, in Buenos Aires

Whether you are trekking them, admiring from afar or simply flying over The Andes are truly impressive

South American love their soccer. Join the crowds at the Maracena or any big game and get caught up in the electric atmosphere
