WALK THIS LAND
malawi TRAVEL GUIDE

The third largest lake in Africa, Lake Malawi, runs down the Eastern side of Malawi with Mozambique visible on the other side. This freshwater lake is a highlight for most visiting Malawi offering the chance to swim, snorkel, dive and kayak.

For me personally the highlight was the people who I found to be some of the friendliest people i've met. Given they reside in one of the poorest countries of the world this resilience was inspiring.

December to March is wet season so expect rains, high temperatures and lush green landscapes.

May to July is dry season so temperatures cool a little while the lush vegetation continues.

October and November is the end of dry season, temperatures rise and this is the optimal time for wildlife watching.
